I'd guess its probably Massey.

In my two years in Argentina I saw Massey and John Deere dealerships, I wasn't in the rural areas much so I don't know what other brands there may have been commonly used, but I know they used Massey and Deere (There was even a John Deere manufacturing plant in one of the towns I was in)

Argentine farmers aren't third world by a long margin. They have some of the biggest, most sophisticated farm and ranch operations in the world.

I could see Mahindra being at the top, i just wonder how many of the ones they sell over their are made by them?

Second that. If I would drive you from Buenos Aires to Bahia Blanca without telling you where we are most Americans would guess US Midwest. The landscape is similar; the farms are also similar size as well as the tractors and combines. There are more horses I suppose.

True, the same goes for the trip from Buenos Aires to Rosario, or Rosario to Santa Fe (as long as you take the autopista and don't look at the large trucks enough to see that they are almost all made by Mercedes) however if I were to take you through "La Villa Banana" in Rosario or San Augustine (north of the city of Santa Fe) or some of the other areas (like huge villas around Buenas Aires) where the cops only go in the daytime and then with 2 pickups that each have 2 officers carrying shotguns in the bed. If you lived through the experience you would probably agree with the my 3rd world designation... I could then take you through Barrio Fisherton (with its houses that are worth 1-3 million) and you would probably think that you were in the US until I took you 6 blocks north to the villa where the people live in "houses" made of 2x4's and tin roofing material, but have 32"+ TV's and bigger sound systems than most theaters... at which point you would probably shake your head.

And if you were to go by the cold war classification they are a 3rd world country, that is a "Non-aligned or neutral country" (source)

There are a lot more of the two wheeled "iron buffulo" tractors made by Yanmar and other companies in the "third world" than 4 wheel tractors. At least in rice growing areas of Asia.

Also a lot of Mahindras and old Fords in Pakistan/India.
