Price Check This a good price for 4720,400x, and 448

I thought about keeping my backhoe, but my dealer told me that I would have to spend around $600.00 for brackets. These special brackets would allow me to hook my 48 backhoe to my new 4720 tractor. I also thought that if I decide later to sell my 48 backhoe and get a new 448 backhoe. I might have trouble selling the 48 backhoe by itself.

What I was trying to say is the power of your 4720 will be far above the 110 and you will notice it when using the loader. Not when lifting but when moving the machine into ,under, and pushing the intended item to be lifted and or moved.. You will be able to operate at a lower RPM and the actions will be smoother and as such easer on the machine.
The 110 hoe is stronger no doubt about it. It is made as a conctruction grade hoe is. The loader on the 110 is also more built like a construction loader is built. as such should be more likely to take hard use without breaking. The loader is not quick removable and you alone know what that means to you.
These are my impressions and opinions and I am no expert by any means. Both are great machines with a little bit different intended uses.

I see your point, I thought about the same thing, In my case the guy that wanted my tractor also wanted the hoe. You have a good price. My quote was 35.5 for 4720 and loader 4&5th scv and power beyound for a hoe, (hoe not included in his quote.

The 110 would have been a better machine if was built on the
4700 tractor frame. JD however build it on the 4600 tractor
frame.

The 110 is a great construction type tractor and I agree that the backhoe and loader on the 110 is real strong for the size.
The construction of the 110 is real heavy duty built. The problem with the 110 and I learn the other day that JD is going to keep the same engine in the tractor. JD is starting to
put their own engines with turbo chargers in their new 4020 series line.

The 110 would still be even a better tractor if JD built a new
tractor base on the 4020 line with the JD turbo engine. It always helps to have more power when you need it.

The 4720 tractor, 400x loader, and the 448 backhoe will be fine for the work I need to do.

There is no doubt that it needs the new engine. But do YOU need the extra power. There comes a time when it is just bragging rights. Heck my 03 Ford truck puts out about 525 HP I don't need that much but it is fun to have. Same with the tractors. And then to clear up the frame issue. There is no similarity between the greens frame and yellow tractors frame the engine is the only thing that comes from the greens lineup. They frame if you get the brochure is nothing like a CUT frame. And the tires size /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. The tractor would be perfect witht the extra HP but can do most anything any other similar tractor can. And more HP doesn't get you more push it all comes down to weight and how you can get it transfered to the ground. I have no problems operating the loader or hoe at 2600 rpms it is a smooth as the operator. I wish it were even quicker. I have heard numerous people say they want to slow the GPM down but for the life of me I cannot understand why. The loader I know is permanetly mounted but the bucket isn't. With the bucket off I can do whatever I need. I use it to mow the grass at my house no problems.

There is times when I wish my 4700 had more power to do the job I was doing at the time. I agree with you at times you
have to have the weight behind the tractor to make the extra
hp work for you. I do not need a big tractor to do the work around my business. I need a to keep the tractor as
compact as I can. I feel that the extra hp on the 4720 will
come in real handy when it is needed. I thought about getting a 5020 series tractor, but that tractor wouldn't move
around the building that easy. I've looked into and study the
4720 up and down and like the specs on this new tractor line.

I need some help.

I've posted this question once and didn't make the October promo deline. So now I have to settle for the price as listed
below.

I would also like a little more input if these prices are as good as I could get with my AQHA discount. My dealer told me that the price he give to me is about the same as if he give me the AQHA discount. I was told by a the people with
AQHA that the prices are 20% off list.

Is this a good price?
Is my dealer giving me a good over all price?

448 - Backhoe with 12inch bucket - $6,700.00

Total - $36,000.00
Less rebate - $700.00

Total price includes canopy, dual rear work lights
Grand Total - $35,050.00
