JD 4310, eHydro - R4, dual SVC, speedmatch/cruise, rear floods
Hi Folks,

I thought I would post a quote I recently received on a 4300 in Connecticut. This can be a reference for anyone curious on prices around here. Let me know what you think!

JD 4300 Hydro w/R4 Industrial tires, DSVC, MFWD, Tall Foldable ROPS, Engine Coolant Heater, Mid PTO - $17,600

430 Loader w/61" HD Bucket, Ballast Box, Bucket Level Indicator, Grill Guard, welded on Hooks - $3,300

48 Backhoe w/12" Bucket and 1 Hook welded on Backside of Bucket - $6,500

Power Beyond Kit - $170

59" Dual Stage Snowblower - $3,600

Total less CT sales tax and loan application fee = $31,170
Total with CT sales tax and loan application fee = $33,090

I would be buying all this stuff together as a package. The dealer seems fairly knowledgeable and I like the tractor, though I will probably wait for the 4310. The wife says at least a year and a half before I get to play in the sandbox with the big green toy. What do you guys think of this quote? Would it pass your wife's muster? Thanks for the input,
- Jonathan

Jonathan, The price quote you have is high!!! I purchased a 4300 HST, R4 Tires, Tall Foldable ROPS, Mid-PTO and 48 Backhoe (18" bucket) for $25,000.00 . Without the Backhoe, the price would have been 19,300 (He charged $5,700 for the hoe). I bought mine in the Spring. I suspect that the dealer would sell me one for even less now.

Dsulli,

What were the itemized costs? Remember, this quote included a snowblower and 430 loader as well... Was it the tractor itself that you thought was too high? He wanted $17,600 for the tractor itself.

The Tractor and the 430 Loader was offered to me for $19,300.00 (Package Price). In addition, he sold me the 48 backhoe for an additional $5,700.00. This brought the total price to $25,000.00 . Assuming that the loader is worth about $3,000.00, I think he's quoting you a price that is about $1,000 to $1,300 higher than my deal. Given the fact that you are actually purchasing additional equipment from him (snowblower),I think that you should be able to do even better than I did.

Hi Dsulli,

You are right, this dealer is charging $1,600 more for the tractor and 430 loader than what you paid. That is assuming our tractors have the same options of:

JD 4300 Hydro w/R4 Industrial tires, DSVC, MFWD, Tall Foldable ROPS, Engine Coolant
Heater, Mid PTO - $17,600

430 Loader w/61" HD Bucket, Ballast Box, Bucket Level Indicator, Grill Guard, welded on
Hooks - $3,300

Are you from the Northeast? If you know of a place in Connecticut or NY, MA or RI that has good prices, let me know. Thanks,
Jonathan

I know it's not a 4300 but for my 4600 I've got about $25,000 into it with 460 loader, bucket, and 48 backhoe, and power beyond kit. My tractor was a shy under $20k new and the backhoe was around $5k with the power beyond kit.

I purchased my tractor from a dealer in Northern PA. The dealership is Rolling Acres in Towanda PA. It's about 20 minutes southwest of Binghamton, NY. The Owner is Ken Bartholomew(spelling). Nice person to deal with. Good Luck

I agree that your quote is high. I bought the same tractor with 430 fel with the larger heavy duty bucket. The only item I did not buy was the heater. The deal was $19,100 for tractor and fel. They threw in a few other goodies too. That was last Spring so you should do better now. I bought mine in Upstate New York near Rochester.

Looking to buya 4300 for use in Long Island. Like the idea of buying in CT or NJ given sales tax.

What dealers have the best prices?

Would it pass your wife's muster?

No. John Deere would be Dear John...
