Sleepyhollow,
While my S.E. Kansas price isn't going to help you much in Connecticut, I'd have to say the price on the tractor/loader quote is pretty high. This summer, I purchased a 4400 with the same set-up except that I had no block heater, a 73" bucket instead of the 61" bucket, no ballast box, and no welded hooks. Price paid was $19,700.00. Your price for this tractor/loader combo is quoted at $20,900.00. I'd guess that the block heater, ballast box and welded hooks shouldn't add more than $400.00 to your package and we can wash the difference (if any) in buckets. The difference between a 4300 & 4400 should be at least $1000.00 so that would bring a final comparison down to:
$20,900.00 (your quote) + $1000.00 (4300/4400 diff.) = $21900.00
vs.
$19,700.00 (my price) + $400.00 (combined options diff.) = $20,100.00
which would put your tractor/loader combo $1800.00 more than my combo. If you take into consideration that this was a quote on a 4300 when the 10 series is just around the corner, I would think the dealer would be anxious to move the 00 series off before the new ones hit the lot. Unless, he was giving you a price that he intends to honor on the 4310 also.
