It was early one morning that I woke up
As I headed outside
I grabbed my cup
This is no ordinary cup, you see
'Cause where I mount it
Is up to me
Two big magnets way down low
Secure my cup
Just like so
An early start was what I needed
Cause the south 40
Had to be seeded
As the day grew hot, I started to sweat
So I reached for cup
But, WHAT THE HECK!!
It would not move, it would not budge
Standing fast
Like it had a grudge
I was determined and started to strain
Last thing I remember
Was feeling great pain
Now this is the truth - I tell you no lies
That danged ol' cup flew up
And caught me right 'tween the eyes
Now I'm at home, stuck in the bed
With that danged ol' cup stuck
To the metal plate in my head.
He faxed this poem to me earlier today - I just about passed out laughing when I read it. The only thing I'm not sure of (and I was laughing so hard I forgot to ask him) is whether the metal plate is supposed to be a result of the accident with the cup or whether he figures I'm such a nut I must already have one... /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
