don't forget that there were many parts and components backlogged due to the earthquake and tsunami.

I thought Kubota was not greatly affected by the disaster.

It's a Japanese tractor with Japanese parts. Really, what did you expect, and why, since we are on the subject, do you think the US manufacturing sector has disappeared (along with the Middle Class jobs that accompanied it)?

Gee, the water I use is pumped out to a tank truck that drives it to another continent. Now my well is dry and I can't understand why. I just don't get it.

Don't worry, you are not alone. Enjoy your thirst. They are printing more water as we speak.

A little hypocritical considering your JD 1070 was also made in Japan.

As to the OP, I know it sucks, I've been there too. Had to wait nearly 2 weeks for a steel hydraulic line for my B3200 to come from Japan. It was a new part for this model and they hadn't started stocking them in this country yet (only a few months after the B3200 was introduced.) Luckily, in the past 2.5 years and 450hrs of ownership this was the only time it was an issue. The only other part I have needed in that time was in stock at the dealer.

That's good to hear. We have had a few parts replaced before and they all were readily available.

I do believe that my dealer would pull one off a lot model to get me going, he has given a loaner unit when in for warranty work also.

I too believe my dealer would yank a alternator off of one on the lot for me. Had a similar situation with a relay or something like that on my RTV (would not turn over) they didn't offer to but when I asked they just pulled a new one into the shop, "robbed" the part and got me going right away.

Even when you don't need your tractor ... waiting for it to come home is miserable.

We have several of those freightliner/Mercedes vans at work and you'd think with the multitude of them out there all the parts you'd need would be in the states. Nope. No alternators, fuel pumps or some wiring looms. All had to be ordered from europe. It's not just tractors that have those probs.

Uhhhhhh

Cost of labor drove most manufacturing out of the USA. The UAW did a nice hatchet job on the big three and now there is no more big three. This does not have much to do with alternator inventory . I'm sure domestic tractor dealers don't have everything in stock.

So true!!! We have all the leaves on the ground and a brand new $3k leaf vacuum sitting in the garage with nothing to pull it...:(

That's surprising since they seem to be very popular...

I've even had to order parts not in stock for my Ford Pickup- supposedly the number one selling vehicle in the WORLD for 25+ years:laughing:
