Me too. Funny thing is I go back to mowing so it will finish and my fuel gauge starts blinking. Talk about adding some stress to the whole “don’t turn it off” thing. Ugh! Worked out and I learned more from the experience and the help on here than I did the manual.

Nothing like pumping a nice combustible liquid while your exhaust is at least 400 degrees and the motor cannot (should not) be shut off. Diesel ignites between 125 and 205 degrees F (52-96 C)

The flash point of a volatile material is the lowest temperature at which vapours of the material will ignite, when given an ignition source.

The flash point is sometimes confused with the autoignition temperature, the temperature that results in spontaneous autoignition. The fire point is the lowest temperature at which vapors of the material will keep burning after the ignition source is removed. The fire point is higher than the flash point, because at the flash point more vapor may not be produced rapidly enough to sustain combustion.[1] Neither flash point nor fire point depends directly on the ignition source temperature, but ignition source temperature is far higher than either the flash or fire point.

The auto ignition point is above 410 degrees F.

I read the manual, a few times, and I don’t consider myself to be an idiot, most of the time, but I couldn’t make complete sense of what I was seeing and what I was reading. Added to that, the technician at the store said to park the tractor in my driveway and sit at full throttle for about 30 minutes or until the light goes out.

This is my first diesel tractor. This is my first complex tractor (one with a cab, electronics, etc).

I’ve run a gas 1978 ford 1900 gear tractor for a few years.

I really do appreciate the patience that most of you have. In other areas where I’m more knowledgeable - (firearms, dogs) I have to remind myself that everyone started at the beginning. Unfortunately some people never remind themselves of that.

I'm not sure about Country Of Origin for your tractor? China maybe? Country Of Origin comes into play with translation of the manual. :)

All RK tractors are manufactured by TYM in South Korea.

Yeah. All the RK manuals I have are pretty Chinglishy and have some info missing. Last I heard, RK was working with TYM to correct the manuals and bring them up to better standards. But that was months ago, and I haven't heard anything since.

This emissions crap is a serious joke. Park the tractor and run it wide open for 30 mins - WOW.

That's what the dealer said. I seriously doubt that it would clear the DPF using that method.

I think it's better just to road the tractor around, full speed.
