Yup, and if you actually run your equipment in off road areas, like you and I do, a compressor is about as useless as a 72 year old man in a fist fight.

I can remove anything I need with my DeWalt 1/2” 60V impact-including bush hog blade bolts.

That's probably why we never invite you to fist fights.

I made the mistake of using mine to help a neighbor get a haybine tire off that wrapped itself in lost barbwire fence...called me every other week to see if I could help him with it. Finally after taking a two mower blades off he broke down and bought his own.

I’m 20 years younger than that….and can still scrap….but only when absolutely necessary lol

And this tit for tat game can go on forever....

I have a 4:1 torque multiplier that can handle up to 250 ft-lbs input and produce 1000 ft-lbs out put, sort of trumps you Onyx air impact... And I don even need to use a impact on it...If fact a impact is not recommended... It it only cost me $10 at a garage sale...

Not disparaging anyone one for living within their means if that how it's being taken, not intended. Just saying if you're doing a lot of work (like project size not repair style) the pneumatic tools are very good in my opinion.

FWIW I went a long time and did a ton of work, to include making a living for a time, with an plug in drill and a skilsaw as my only powered tools. Don't think I had anything cordless until I was in my 30s? Hope to continue to make my tool box larger and to not be tool racist

I'd love to have a torque multiplier like yours...mine is a 4' chunk of 1" ID pipe right now, pretty sure it gets up to about 1,000 ft-lbs

I have a quick question about pneumatic impact wrench torque settings. Is the amount of air pressure that you send to the tool the way that you set/adjust the torque?

I have a craftsman 1/2" impact and it only has the forward and reverse lever on it, so I never know exactly what torque it's hammering the nut to. I usually just hammer it for a bit and figure its good n tight now. It works so far and I haven't broken anything 'yet'! Haw!

But I always wondered because I often read about people whom torque their lug nuts with an impact and I wondered "just how do they know the actual torque setting" that they hammered the nuts to??

In your case, you really dont until you check. You can use a torque wrench with the proper torque dialed on the handle. Once it clicks….yer good

I actually have two low end ($$$) 1/2 drive impacts and both have variable settings....Usually just "snug" things down with impact and use torque wrench for final torque for critical items like wheel lug nuts.... Never really trusted "torque setting" determined with impact alone... Saves having a lot of striped or snapped off bolts and nuts from overtightening.... The real value of impacts is for disassembly....
