Thor to be Delivered Early!

Just got a call from the trailer driver. He's already in Cincinnati, and wanted to know if he could deliver tonight instead of Monday. I thought long and hard (about .00001 second) and said "YES!"

I'll take pictures tomorrow when it's light out. I am so excited, I don't want lunch. (Well, maybe just a bite or two...) I'll post tomorrow!

I see by your profile that you played symphony trombone. My brother was a professional 'bone player in Washington, D.C. He was a free lancer who had most of his jobs (gigs he called 'em) at the Kennedy Center. He'd go up once in awhile to Philadelphia and fill in there, plus he took some lessons early on with Glenn Dodson (is that right?), who was 1st chair at Philadelphia.

Oh, Man! Glenn Dodson was a phenomenal player. He played on the Chicago/Philadelphia/Cleveland album of Gabrieli canzonas and sonatas for multiple brass choirs. That album, which came out while I was in high school, almost single-handedly provided the inspiration for me to become a musician. Your brother was very lucky to have studied with him!

Although I did sing on the radio as a kid - until my mother made me get off cause she thought I'd scratch it /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif!

Yeah! They come in cheese, peperoni, sausage, veggie, and the works! Actually, I imagine that Gabrieli made such food a regular part of his diet - church musicians were revered for their talent but paid and treated like serfs. Funny ... I couldn't tell you who the reigning monarch was during his day, but I could rip you off a list of his fellow composers! History decides for itself who was and was not important. I bet they all used Caroni tillers though!

Well, yes indeed, I did take the day off. Sat in the car staring at Thor for the better part of 2 hours waiting for "intermittent" showers to pass. They didn't pass. Drove to work, now 3 hours later, and still raining. This is torture!

I know how you feel. My new tractor was delivered two weeks ago tomorrow (Sat). I had planned to take the Monday off so I'd have a nice long weekend with my new tractor. It rained all 3 days. I should've went on in to work.

To make matters worse, the in-laws decided it would be a good time to visit so I was stuck indoors with them all weekend. /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

Hopefully you'll have good weather this weekend to get acquainted with THOR.
