It looks like it had good back ( or front) tires. Those would nearly be worth the asking price.

By coincidence, I was watching Antiques Roadshow this afternoon. It was one of the shows that show an appraisal from years ago and then tell what the item is worth now. They had a gentleman that had an original of one of these maps. In 2001, it was valued at $1,000 to $1,500. Today it is worth $150,000 to $200,000!!!!! I had to rewind it to make sure I had seen the numbers correctly.
Im pretty sure nautical charts are not rare.

It has one of those special "Manuel" transmissions.:)

Steve

Ah, apparently you haven't heard of the famous transmission specialist "Manuel!" :D

Yeah, and, um, no title but if the seller could get a hold of the previous owner he's "sure" he could get it! ;)

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I think that these are worth maybe a couple:

As useless as most of these pictures are they at least added a picture. There's tons of adds with no picture. I usually set a filter for adds with a picture only.

I've seen things posted for sale for tens of thousands of dollars and NOT have any accompanying pictures. It's like, really, folks might be selling some cheesy $10 item and they're including a picture!

I don't filter because I flag them. Yeah, it's a tough job but someone has to help enforce

David Bradley 193 Rustic Tractor Hood

If your plastic JD hood has cracks, this 1930s hood could be a good replacement. Just don't make them like they used to . . .

He's from Texas so he is honest in the description - "old and rusty, just like my ex. "

Do most scams last that long before the listing gets deleted? Maybe it's a legit listing and it's really $15,000. As little info as the add contains I'd still guess it's a scam.

Great photo and I'm sure that's a quality and direct Deere replacement.

I once advertised a damaged B7800 Kubota hood (long story) and a guy showed up that was serious about using it to replace his worse damaged John Deere hood. He was a newbie so I explained it was a bad idea and almost certainly wouldn't fit anyway but off he went and I stuffed the cash in my pocket. Some day I'll see that tractor on Craigslist and I'm sure it will be a sight to behold.

I strongly suspect that flagging doesn't do anything anymore. It's window dressing. I think CL has gone to a "we don't care as long as nobody hassles us" mode, and they allow people to "flag" just to shut them up.

The pictures in the ad appear to be snapshots of a computer monitor showing a different Craigslist ad.
