Well, it was a successful "first voyage",, overall. Water and propane system worked flawlessly. Genset ran great for 2 days, then wouldnt start at all for 3 days? I kept the carb floating in b12 chem-tool and in started and ran solid for the last 2 days:thumbsup: Still must have some junk in the fuel system.

Heater would never kick on, so I will have to trouble shoot that out, (simple susyetems really) but the stove top kept me toasty enough. Several guys there that also had travel trailers, said I had a "winterized" camper after looking under it, so I guess that's a good thing (only got to 24^ anywhoo.

Photo is the morning after I arrived, 6-8" of snow, so glad I was there a day early to set-up!

Good to hear the trailer worked out for you, but what about the elk? Any luck?

 Sorry Eddie, I had posted it in the Texas Fall winter thread.

Yeah, tough hunt due to the range conditions, almost Springtime growth!! Deer an d Elk had little reason to migrate much and only where at a "trickle" the day I left. Didn't get to fill my bear tag, but that's OK. I did manage to get a small 5x5 on public land taboot, so I am happy my "battle plan worked"

It rained or snowed sometime everyday. It was a beautiful day Wednesday when I arrived and set up the TT, The photo (if it loads ) is a result of a storm that started Thursday at 2am and ended after 1pm.

Thanks Eddie! It was a blast even going alone:thumbsup: Met a few Californians, that where actually nice fellas, they said it was because they lived on the Nevada line:laughing: Thats why I didn't finish my bear hunt, they needed help going after cow elk, so I spent my last day helping them get situated in decent spots.

Side Note: DUH.....Took the outside shroud of the furnace (on the exterior of the TT) Low and behold an OFF/ON switch:eek: Never used and in the OFF position...I froze because I was told it was likely a "12v supply problem in the wiring" (by other Rvr's there) Furnace fired right up and I will have "crow" for dinner tonight. Only reason I didnt do it there was the rain/snow and not wanting to get "all involved" in a possible fix while 40 miles from town,,,,what a moron:eek:

Sounds like you have a pretty good elk area to hunt. Is it hard to get a tag to hunt there? Is deer season open at the same time? Did you see any decent bucks?

Eddie
