Neil,
Propaganda that was spread to make some of the dealers feel better at the meeting and then spread here.

Jerry:

I realize it's getting a little humid outside, but remember who owns a Massey????....me.

I wasn't making a blanket statement or ruffling feathers intentionally.

I'll be the first to defend MF and I know their place in the world market as you well know.

My statement in reference to the Cat Challenger series and referred to the scenario surrounding the large units and the subsequent withdraw from the AG market and sale of their marque to Agco.

I never pay attention to sales hype spewed by regional representatives of any brand or by local drummers either. If one believed their rhetoric, in their fantasy world, no other brands exist but the one they currently represent. That hype can and will change due to employment particulars.

I'm most certainly color blind. Why else would I run orange and grey as well as red and silver tractors in an area that's almost 100% green. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Those are the exact reason why I didn't understand why those statements were made. And the track machines have nothing to do with the wheeled ones.

That is right. It is spewed in abundance by them and by a few here, also.

I wish there were more Massy dealers here in MN. My Deere dealer used to sell them years ago and now only service the older units like combines and such. I sure like our old Massey 135 gas. The new Masseys look excellent especially the orchard models.

Jerry:

If you re-read my first post, you'll see I am referring to the tracked machines. I have no experience whatsoever with the compact line.

I would like to see the name "Cat" removed from the line, however. Oddly, I saw a pair of "Cat" workboots at Wallyworld the other day. I guess the word "Cat" evokes testesterone or something. The older Caterpillar engines were good, high torque rise efficient engines, however, the new ones aren't. I know, I have one. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
