Thoughts on Kubota f-series mowers

They’re not big tires probably a 24-12-12. The weight added by fluid would be insignificant. Tossing the turfs and putting in bar tires would be the best. I’ve got bar tires on my grasshopper and Dixie chopper. Both used to have turfs and the difference is night and day.

Made a huge difference on my ZD1211

120lbs in each tire. I wouldn't suggest it on lesser units with hydraulic pump motors at each wheel tho

That’s like 11 gallons of rim guard or 14 gallons of water. What size tire is your mower?

There are no traction issues on the F3080 4wd. I rarely engage the "Real 4wd" lever whatever it does and only rarely stepped on the differential lock pedal in the many years of ownership and it climbs like a mountain goat so can't see any reason to change or add anything to it and no longer own the F2680e 2wd which was used on my near flat rental property which I sold.

That sounds good guys. Mine was a craigslist deal last year. Machine has 2500 hours. Bought it from an older gentleman that bought it at a local auction years before. He had bought a new mower and sold this one for what he thought the motor was worth. I figured I'd give it a shot. Serviced it, and have been mowing with it for a year now. Its probably due for blades, as it misses little strips of grass. Hydro whines a little. I was thinking about going to the Kubota dealer and getting their hydro oil. The mower had an unfortunate incident with an atv, it fell on the steering column of the mower, smashed all the plastic. $260 it looks like it never happened.

Glad to hear it's a good mower that will do high hours.

26x12-16" rim diameter. They held 14gals each

I've replaced my blades several times always telling myself I'll sharpen the old ones for next year or the next year. :) The three (72" rear discharge deck) are around $75 and cut so good when they are new before I start cutting rocks, small trees, dirt, fallen limbs and previously bush hogged fields with small trees growing. When/if you replace yours be careful how you take them off so you can reinstall back like they came off. The nut has splines on it and there are one or two washers holding the blade on. One or both of the "Washers" are cupped and fairly expensive for a big washer and the cupped side goes against the blade.
Also the Fs usually "whine" a bit more than the other Kubotas and the engine needs to be run at near full throttle for the best cut.

I don’t sharpen blades more than a few times. Once they loose the square edge the cut quality decreases. Where do you get your blades?

I want some blades for my 72" RD deck that has higher lift wings on the blades.

Only two part #'s listed has the exact same lift height wings.

I don't have part #'s at the moment.
