There are a couple places near me that rent them... Look and see if you can rent one around you. $6k would be lots of rental days. At least you'll know for sure how well they work (I've seen them work and the finish is great).

You said you don't seed... I would think that's pretty good money in being able to do that... (just a guess)

I’ve run a power rake, but not a pulverizor. Not a fan of renting. I specialize in smaller jobs, renting and passing those costs onto the customer usually adds 50% or so to estimates.

As far as seeding, to many potential problems, call backs, etc. plus my lack of knowledge in that area.
