I am considering on purchasing a tractor in the 30 hp range with FEL and a finish mower, I have a Montana, branson and a Zetor dealer within close driving distance and was wondering if anyone could tell me some pro's and con's between the three. I would be using the tractor for light landscaping around the house, mowing a few acres and using it to cut fire wood. I haven't heard of the motor name in the Branson before but the Mittsubishi in the Montana I like but the Zetor has a Cummins which I've worked around their other models in class A trucks and found very dependable I also like the extra weight of the Zetor. Any thougts good, bad, upside down sideways or which ever would sure be great!!!!!!!!! Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I own a new 4341.1 Zetor tractor, with 4X4, with cab, with shuttle, and with 102SL loader. So for, I only have about 35 hours on this tractor, and I really like it. A Zetor tractor is a real heavy tractor for the size PTO horsepower that you buy it in compared to other brands of tractors. My tractor is a 55 PTO horsepower, and weighs 7,500 pounds without fluid in the rear tires. The loader weighs 2,100 pounds. That makes the total weight of the tractor and loader 9,600 pounds. There aren't very many other brands of tractors this size that weighs this much. Although, some people like light tractors. I don't. The reason that I like heavy tractors is that I pull heavy loads up and down hills on my farm. A heavy tractor is a lot safer than a light tractor pulling heavy loads in my opinion.

I don't know anything about the other two brands of tractors that you mention in your post, but I don't think you will go wrong in owning a Zetor tractor. One thing else, Zetor tractors are cheaper than a lot of other brand tractors. I saved a lot of money by buying a Zetor tractor.

The water will never clear up, until you get the hogs out of the pond. (You got to find what the trouble is, and eliminate it).

WTCWERM, I had a 28 hp Branson and had a little trouble with it but, I used it very hard and pulled things I should not have, such as a 12 ft wide by 18 ft long land leveler or what some people call a switchblade, this is something that a 100 hp tractor use to pull. I pulled it to level out my land. I recently traded it on a 40 hp Branson and really like the 40 hp. So far I have not had any complaints. It is really heavy, has plenty of power, and runs really quiet. The new ones-4220 are 42hp 4 cylynder motors by Cummins.
