threading on hydraulic coupler

I have two hyd couplers on the rear of my M6800 tractor. Are the threads on this part 3A111-82010 right or left handed threads. They are very tight and I need to remove them.

I cant say that I have seen everything but I have never seen a left hand thread hydraulic coupler. Usually left hand thread is used when a part rotates in the direction that woudl normally cause a right hand thread to loosen. Hydraulics and pipe fittings are typically standard right hand thread.

They are probally extremly thight due to the use of some type of thread sealant they used when assembled. If you can safley do do without damaging hoses or anything else, you may want to try a little heat.

I'm with LD1...... never seen a left hand threaded hydraulic fitting. Get yourself more leverage and some heat.

why do you want o remove them-is it difficult to install the hoses?

If that is the case you need to change the positions of the fittings using one male and one female fitting
on the tractor side and one female on the implement hoses to gain space.

NPT thread which is right hand thread.

They probably over used thread locker instead of a little drop of liquid pipe dope.

Thats why I mentioned if he can safley do so without damaging anything else.

I assumed he needed to rake them off to replace them. Why else would one need to remove them?? The heat will indeed melt the internal seals and ruin them, but it also works wonders at softening up the thread sealer.
