That tree shear looks like it means business!

The words "tree shear" alone make me shudder...... You wanna mess up a piece of ground? Shear off a bunch of trees leaving the stumps.....

Okay,, I've recovered.... A tree shear without a hydraulic clamp to secure the recently sheared tree is a danger in the making.... :)

My tree shear will only do about a nine inch tree and most of the trees I end up shearing are hedge and cedar which are usually not that tall and tipping the tree forward usually works except for few times a hedge branch gets hooked in the loader gauge. If I am careful I have trouble finding the stumps after shearing because of the dirt that is covering them, lower than I can chain saw. If I was into tall slim oak trees some sort of pusher bar would help but with the cedars I drive up to the front grill into the branches to reach the trunk.

It's one of the mysteries of the World. Shearing trees. Gouge the shear into the dirt and shear below ground level. Perfect. Then a couple years later the stump magically rises from the dirt!!!! How'd that happen???

If it's maple or cottonwood it'll rise from the dead! Stump has to come out! With cottonwood it'll re-sprout even from pieces:eek:
