No I personally have not used one. I like the faster stand alone units because it usually takes a much larger tractor to get the GPM needed to satisfy me.
But the 790 specs @ 5.4gpm and 2050psi
So if you got a splitter with a 4"x24" cylinder with a 2" rod, it would take 14.1 seconds to extend and 10.9 to retract. Total cycle time of 25 seconds. And it would develop just under 13 tons of force.
You may want to compare those #'s to what you can get in a stand alone unit. Or another option would be to get a 3PH splitter with its own pump/resivoir.
But also keep in mind that to achieve even that slow 25second cycle, you will need to run your tractor @ PTO rpm. If you only wanted to run @ half throttle, that would just about double the cycle time.
