Not like its a snob or anything, but my hitch is stuck in the up position. I've got kind of an odd set-up on an old L275 where the aux hydraulics to raise the front mounted snowblower require the 3pt to be locked in the up position with the lowering speed knob closed and the lift lever to be placed in the down position in order for the front aux hyd to work. Tried opening and closing the adjuster knob but no luck, but the blower aux works with it in any position.

Is it possible I've got some kind of hydraulic lock or should I sell all my non-existent gold and haul it to the dealer?

You got anything hooked up to it ?

I got to stand on my arms to get them to go down if empty.

It's got a back blade on it. I tried some prying and jumping on it with no luck.

Hello Bob, You definetly have a stuck dohickey, you need more weight on the three point to get it unstuck and be sure to have the front hydraulics disabled/off before you do it.

Just be sure you have the needle valve under the seat all the way open as it is a position locking valve.

and besure your feet are out of the way- it may just be easier drivge the tractor around over bumpy ground to try to jarr it loose to let it drop.

Problem solved. Got the 3pt to come down by shutting the tractor off and cycling the front aux hydraulics to relieve what was probably a fluid lock. once I did that with the pump and pressure off the 3pt resumed normal operation.

Glad to report that I still have all my toes!

Well, since you didn't need to bring it to the dealer, might as well send that gold to me !

I for one am glad the rear do-hickey is unstuck and you were able to free up the fluid flow (apparently the detented position for the front assisstant do-hickey closes off the oil entirely to guarantee full flow of fluid to the front do-hickey attachment.

Also glad the little piggies were not harmed in the diagnosis of the do-hickey impairment.

He's got ya there Ductape.

Nope, that just might indicate that he had gold at some point........ or already has a place to send it on a regular basis. :D
