I saw someone looking for a small Boom Sprayer, that will spray anything in the row, and to fit on a FEL bucket. Well, I did it, this is my DIY Project,
I just got done with it. It took about a day and a half to build , and fit it to the Tractor.

You can spray 3 Rows or add a piece to the end and spray 4 Rows..

This is my first project, and my first picture, hope it all works ok....
more pictures to come.

Very easy to build, I used square tubing thin wall from Muellers Inc.
That's the metal building people here.
1- 20' piece of ,1 1/4", Cost was about $9.00....
1- 20' piece of ,1' Cost was about $7.00
All the other fittings like the 4" hinge came from Tractor Supply.
Spring, U-Bolts, all this stuff was about $60.00

The rack carrier for the barrel, was from Tractor Supply too. I added a piece of 3" channel to the bottom for support, added a chain to hold the barrel.

Bought 1 of those $38.00 Spray Wand and hose..

Added the pump and hose, also from Tractor Supply... and shoozammm !!!!!!!!

Well it looks like the first 1 did ok !!!! I can't believe I got it to work....

Here's 1 of the sprayer setup, on the Boom. You can adjust it about any old way you want too. If your Rows are off, they will slide either way down the tube.. make sure you leave some extra hose to do that...

These sprayer setup.... You can get them from Tractor Supply, You can get this one or they have the one that does not have the SS arms, it's alittle cheaper. Tractor Supply had them for $64.00 x = how ever many you need.
You may get them from a dealer near you, much cheaper, like $32.00.....
So shop around before you buy them....

All the spray tips / Fittings, came from .... You guest it ........ Tractor Supply...... And they aint cheap either...

One more time...... As you can see in this one , I left the end open so I could slide one more in to make the 4th Row..

You can see where I hooked up the cable, for support, this is hooked to the top of the bucket, with that air plane cable, Tractor Supply has....

This one has the other end of the cable hooked up to the bucket, clean and simple.
Just drill a hole in the bucket, mount the I-Bolt, run your Thing a ma bob, all the out....... Well you get the rest of it.......

This one is setting on the Tractor, gives you an idea of what it looks like running down the row.

The rows are 60" apart, just enought room to walk and pick those purple hull peas. YUM !!! YUM !!!!! ......... They just started to run....

This is one shows the full meal deal...... With this setup you can spray Corn Tomatoes, Peas, or just about anything you can get down the row.

You can make it a regular field sprayer too, just slide the sprayers together..

Do you have a picture of your tank and pump set up?

Yes sir I do........

Thanks, hate to ask for more. looks like a recycled 55 gallon drum. I've got a drum carrier (previously a spray rig) I want to reconfigure or re-equip and your set-up looks good to me. Mine can hold two drums and was thinking to use one for round-up and the other for what ever else. My co-op has the drums for $15 each but I think the bottling companies will almost give them away.

I also want to set up the arms to come off the back - I'm a little nervous about the drift coming off a front sprayer.

So any more details or recommendations would be appreciated.

Good job, that looks like it will work super for ya, how stable is the boom? can't really tell from the pics but is the product siphoned to the pump? and you must be using speed and pressure for volumn control. maybe you already have one but if not i would highly recomend getting an inline filter and puting it before the boom. those little filters on each of the nozzles plug real easy and it's always the nozzle you can't see that plugs.
those pictures made me hungry, think i'll go and make an onion sandwich, looks good and very practicle Ron

Hey Rvaitor...... it's no problem, your right again... I got it from our local pedler for $15.00. It's alot cheaper to get these than go and buy a 50 gal. tank from Tractor Supply, are somebody else...

Shoot ....I can buy 10 of these, for the price of that one.......

Some had soap in them and some had drink syrup... Nice and clean.....

I just drop the suction hose, in the hole of the barrel with a weight on the end of the hose , it does just fine. Then when I get ready to wash the barrel out, I fill it with water some soap and I disconnect it from the pump, and let it drain out several times. Ready to go next time.

elkun 1.....................

It's really stable, with that cable attached , but with out it, Well it bows down on the end. What you have to keep in mind is, this is thin wall tubing, 14ga... I can lift the whole thing by hand, and put it on the saw horses....

It has a lot of flex with all that weight hanging out there.
That's a 20 foot stick, And I left the end open so I could slide another 5' section to the end for another row... I'am still working on that one..

I'll try and get some more pictures tomorrow, with it raised up in the air..

This picture has the hinge and spring close up. What I did was weld up everything first, then I made the cut on the hinge. I did it with a grinder, a sawsall or a band saw would work much better ,for a finer cut.

Live and learn I guess... I had fun with it..... I think it will work really good on a corn patch next year...
