Through-the-wall insert

I don't remember if I've asked here before....I don't remember lots of stuff these days...but anyway, does anyone know where I might look for a through-the-wall fireplace insert? Glass on both sides kind of thing. The wifey is after me to get new screens for the fireplace, but I expect to pay enough for those that it might make buying an insert more desireable, since we'd actually get some heat from the fires then.

I bought my insert about five years ago and looked at various manufacturers. I don't recall seeing any insert set up for through the wall like you're looking for.

Sounds like an interesting idea, though.

Thanks for the reply, but those are all gas, aren't they? I'm looking for a wood burning version. So far it looks like I may have to settle for a grate heater-type thing. For basically some tubing and a blower, those things sure get expensive. Makes me want to learn welding. If I'd been around when the house was built 50 years ago, I would have suggested built-in heat exchangers as part of the design. One of my old professors designed his fireplace with piped-in combustion air and heat exchaners built into the masonry. No blowers. Just passive cold air intakes at floor level and hot air vents above the fire box.

I have gas into it but it is a wood burning fireplace with a fresh air intake. It doesn't have a heat exchanger or blower, would be nice if it did.

I'll look at their site again. I found various designs, but all came with the gas logs.
