Thanks for all the replys, I will keep yall posted on what the dealer says, I will say that I didnt like the way the clutch was positioned when I bought the tractor, at the 50 hrs servicing, I asked my dealer to adjust the petal to make sure it was correct and they did. I felt alot better after they adjusted it. Also, at my 150 hour service, which the dealer did also, I would assume that if the clutch needed to be adjusted they would have noticed it during the servicing...??... I will keep yall posted. A 2 stage clutch has a higher release point since the PTO stage must release first, then the travel stage. It's this way with any 2-stage. It feels sort of high when you are used to a single stage or independant type clutch or PTO. We have seen customers adjust the linkage and then wonder why the PTO won't release. The 2615 and 2816 had this clutch. The new 3016/3616 do not. It's a good clutch, just a little old school.
The overall problem with this isnt the clutch at all, its not even the throw out bearing. It involves the drive shaft moving inside its housing laterally causing the squeel. I was at my Mahindra dealer today and asked again if they ever figured out a fix and they said they never did and auctioned both tractors that i had issues with off. Even Mahindra engineers couldnt figure out how to stop the noises and they observed the dismantling and inspection of the parts. They said that since then they havnt had an issue and havent had to deal with it since so i cant say what they would do with your tractor. But good luck. I know i looked really guilty of abusing the tractors and it only happened with me they say. I cant say i abused them ofcourse, they are tractors and i have ran them all my life so who knows. Maybe my luck!

You are assuming your problem = his problem. You could be right, or it could be a bad TO bearing.
We have sold about 200 of the 2615/2816 gears, and have had I think 4 with a TO bearing/shaft noise. So 196 out of 200 (rough numbers) with no TO bearing issue. So it is far from common, but it is perplexing. Of the four that we had, we never could get two of them to remain quiet, and we also met with the Mitsubishi engineers. I'm not so sure it is lateral movement of the shaft making the noise, but it could be. It sounds 100% like a TO bearing starting to go bad.
Our customers for which we had this problem were just great people, and we made it very easy for them to upgrade to a different model. We then sold the 2 noisy tractors to local people with a disclosure and a discount. Those two noisy tractors continue to this day running just fine, still making a TO bearing type sound when the clutch is depressed. One guy we sold one too absolutely can't hear the noise. It is a high pitched noise and try as he might he can't hear it. It might make his dogs ears hurt though....

Yes. I was thinking this .. a squeal can be caused by the transmission pilot stub orbiting within the pilot bearing. It doesnt fit tho. OPs description in another thread says it is also happening with the clutch out. Pilot bearing and shaft are spinning together. No relative motion no orbit. :confused3:

let me share this about my 2816. i purchased it new 2 years ago.
after 20 hrs had a squech in the throw out bearing. dealer split the tractor
3 times, the last time a different bearing was used. still noise. was told
factory was working on a solution. waited 2 months then i decided to split
it myself.[ i had never did this before]. i found the clutch bolts were ground
down. removed the flywheel and rear plate. the plate was bent, this caused
the bearing to hit the clutch at an angle. i told the dealer i needed the new
plate, bearing, and bolts. put it together and no noise after 175 hrs.
the bottom line is the plate is 1/4" and too light for the tractor. it should
have been 1/2". anyway i made some brackets from 3/8 plate to bolt on
from the clutch housing to the engine frame to keep it from bending again.
this tractor has a loader and a backhoe, which may have something to do
with it

I just replaced the clutch on my 2816 gear myself a few months ago. I also wondered why the engine/bellhousing plate at the flywheel was so thin for such a heavy machine.
I actually witnessed mine bending as I tightened the bellhousing bolts to line the front and rear halves back up and was not happy about that. But once the pilot shaft slid into the bushing everything cinched down tight.
I just figured they would at least use 3/8" place for the backing plate

I have a Mahindra 4510 with "clutch" problems. Once this summer while it was running but parked in neutral it developed a tremendous squeal. I quickly stopped the engine. Upon restart the noise did not return but some hours later the clutch problem arose. I think the fingers/springs on the pressure plate are worn off on two of the three.

The plate and the plate bolts always must be inspected, so thanks for bringing that up. Seems the backhoe rigs are tougher on the plates. But just FYI, a few of these with perfect or new plates will still squeak after a couple of hours even with a new clutch, TO bearing, pilot, etc. Sometimes the problem goes away forever, occasionally not.
