Thumb for KB2375

I was thinking of installing a thumb for my kb2375. I was wondering if anyone installed one and how is it working out

I installed one last spring and I'm not sorry. I have not found it as usefull as I anticipated. I find myself doing things with my forks that I bought the thumb for. Next year I have a lot of rocks to move so I'll get more use out of it

That log looks pretty heavy. Do you worry about tearing out your front diff./axles with a load like that? I guess if it will pick it up it's ok to carry? What do you base your judgement on? Just curious. That looks heavier than a bucket load of dirt or gravel. I have noticed other threads about loader cracks, wonder if this could be why.

As long as you can carry it safely without upsetting the machine- YES, it should be fine.

The cracked loaders you read about are cracking because of a design flaw, nothing more/nothing less.

That log looks like maple, which is not too dense. If it was locust or hickory, he probably couldn't have lifted it.

I carry logs with my bucket and grapple quite often. I couldn't lift an 18" x40' red maple with my DX 29 and had to cut it, but all the little stuff I usually deal with is no problem. I generally don't have room to maneuver anything much longer than 10 feet. I have a homemade set of 10" teeth on the bottom of the bucket that help a lot.
