Kioti CK27 HST
Going to pick up my Kioti tractor next week. CK27 with FEL....weight 4,000Lbs. I have a 7,000 lb Load Trail trailer 16 ft long. What would i need in the tie down strap recommendations ? Seems after searching a 3" 10,000 lb with working rate of 3,300 lb is what i need ? Any help is much appreciated..

You need 4 separate tie downs, one for each corner of the machine, each capable of holding the machines weight. This way if one falls off or fails you still have it secured. You also need a strap over the loader bucket securing it to the trailers deck and one over any implement on the 3 point.

So to answer your question, you will need 6.

Here is what I do with my tractor which is about 5200#. On the rear I have two pieces of G70 5/16" about 8' long chain pulled tight by the tractor once properly adjusted. On the front I have two more of the same chains but I use lever style load binders to snug it up.

I then use two 2" wide 10,000# straps with a Work Load of 3,333# to go over my loader bucket and implement in the rear. Just be sure to use a folded towel or old carpeting to protect the straps from abrasions.

Thanks Chris,

I was thinking chains would be more secure than using 3" straps. Some use the straps instead of the chains to keep from marring the tractor. But i would think the straps will stretch and loosen. I have a 400 mile drive with this. So put a chain hook on each end of the chain ? Chain the rear up first then drive forward alittle and then use the chain binders to tighten in the front ? I have no 3 pt. implements to worry about.

When the dealer delivered my Kubota he used chain with load binders. It took six - like Chris said - one off each corner and one over the bucket on the FEL and the last one over the 3-point rear blade. The driver said they use chain no matter the size of the tractor.

I'm with the others. I use 4 chains for the tractor plus one for each implement (loader, flail, box blade etc).

I use 4 chains and 4 folding ratchet binders.

If your worried about marring it up take something to put down before you wrap the chain.

On my tractor I had 2 large hooks on the rear of the tractor from the factory. I later added two to the front near the brush guard.

Some won't allow that. Each chain must have a way to tighten it individually.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Can't argue with any of them ! I will get 4 chains. one for each corner and 4 ratchet binders. Will use a 3" strap to go across the FEL. Will see if i can find some rubber hose to use as a sleeve for the chain. Just want to be careful that i put the chains around something that will not bend or distort something on the frame.

Some people have had luck stopping by the firehouse and getting sections of old firehose.
