Tie Rod / Ball Joint Assembly on Cub 2554

/ Tie Rod / Ball Joint Assembly on Cub 2554 #11
When my ball jts went bad I bough a few rod end bearings from my local Timken bearing store.their left hand or right hand threaded 3/8" and you put a 3/8" bolt thru the end.The best thing about them is that they are greasable and a lot heaftier than the Cub parts. And less than 5 bucks each .See Mcmaster parts- McMaster-Carr

Is this the end you are talking about McMaster-Carr and i need a right and left hand thread right?

If your tie rods have left and right hand threads that's what you need..

are these the ends that you used? I should need two right hand and two left hand to replace all four correct?

You need to check what size thread is on your current tie rod ends. MTD used several different parts thru the years part#723-0448A has a 7/16"-20 female thread and 3/8"-24 male stud, #723-3018 has 3/8"-24 male and female threads and 723-0156 has the 3/8" threads but the stud is longer.
