Tie Rod Ends - Kubota L4200

My L4200's steering is a little sloppy - I want to replace the tie rod ends.

Questions:
1) Can I just replace tie rod ends or end ball joints, or does the whole tie rod assembly have to go?
2) If just ball joints or ends, does any one know of any a common automotive (non-Kuota) part that might cross-reference? Kubota has to buy them somewhere!
