Tiller Tiller Brand?????

My boss bought this awhile back for a Hundred bucks, just been sitting out at his ranch. Don't know what brand it is or how old. All writing on it is in Japanese or is it Chinese? Early Kubota? As you can see the "drive" looks just like rear-end out of a car/truck, has daul chain drive and the "unique" wheeled gage set up. Ummmm, wonder if a simular set up would work on a box scraper? Oh well, I was thinking of buying this from him but don't know if my 21 HP CUT would handle it. I do know that it is 52" and someone has modified the attachment point for the lower link. Any ideas??

It looks like a Japanese Yanmar tiller to me, but I'm not sure. Make sure the rotation if proper for your tractor as many of the gray market tillers turn in the opposite direction from US market tillers.
If you don't have to pay much, I'm fairly sure your tractor will run the tiller. although it's a little large, most of the Japanese tillers were made for smallish tractors.

It's an old Kubota tiller of the type that came with the grey market tractors. They were built heavy and durable. 52" would probably work on a 21hp DIESEL CUT, not gas, but it would still be an overmatch.....48" would be more appropriate.
