I was wondering what the best size I need to purchase, a local dealer has 4ft King Cutter, 1195.00 and 5ft for 1295.00, I've heard many use 5 and even 6' tillers here, but the dealer said he suggested a 4' for my B tractor:mad::confused:, me thinking more a 5':D;):), I have 2 acreas, fairly level, recently burned off and I scraped it all witht he rippers on my boxblade a month ago, now grass is starting to grow about knee high,( or weeds and other trash starting) I wanting to till it up, level it out and sow some good grass and a small garden spot, besides that I woulndn't need a tiller anymore, I priced it out , 1 guy said he would plow and disk it for 500.00, humm, almost 1/2 of the tiller and no use on my tractor, but then no fun for me??, humm, what a delima,

If you're going to have a "small garden spot", you'll need a tiller! But if it's a "small" one you won't need a 5'. Go for the 4', save $100, never fear it's too much for your machine and it will be easier to store indoors if you don't feel like leaving your investment out in the rain.

If you do go 4', an offset model is something to consider.

I'm lookin for a five footer for my 3030..... that will easily cover the tire tracks.

fwiw, you kinda missed your window on planting grass seed. you'll be babying it all summer with lots of irrigation.

wait till fall, till it up, plant and you won't have to do anything except mow it next spring and spray for weeds.

I run a KKII 5 footer behind my B3030. It's a beast. Works great. I redid about an acre of lawn with it last fall, and it turned out great. Covers the tire tracks perfectly. Plenty of power to drive it and lift it.

I wouldn't want anything narrower to go behind my B3030. My preference is to not have to worry about offsetting anything to cover tire tracks.

I'd go with the 60" tiller.I have a 52" Woods on my B26 and its actually too narrow to cover up my tire tracks.I think the B3030 and the B26 have the same rear axle,so they are prob. the same width. My tractor has plenty of power for the 52" and i know it would handle another 8" easily.
I bought the Woods tiller for my first tractor,a B7610 and it was fine for that, but since i got the B 26 its a little narrow.Besides that,if you can get a couple of jobs and make anything near what that guy wants to do your lot,it wont be long before the tiller pays for itself....think about it!!!!

I have tilled alot with my 5' KK on the b2920. You have to take it a little slow on the first pass in ground that has not been tilled before. But the B2920 kicks butt on the second pass. The 5' KK tiller is a real good tiller.

I sold my 50" Landpride tiller to my former neighbor with a BX when I bought my B3030. I figured when and if I wanted another tiller, I'd go with a 5' unit - that 50" tiller would have been way too small for this machine.
