I have a Kubota B26 (19.5 hp @ the PTO) and I'm looking for a small tiller for a couple of very small projects and an annual garden. I've read lots on here about reverse and forward spin and what not, but I'm still scratching my head on what direction I should look.

I have preliminary approval from my funds manager (Wife) on the new Kubota ZD326 (60") :licking: and I'm thinking of rolling this "extra" into the financing so I can knock out some of these smaller jobs that have been piling up.

Any recommendations or suggestions on size? I'm assuming that I'll have to do the offset route because of HP requirements. My local dealer sells KK, landpride and a few others...

I guess you could call me a Kingkutter fan. There's quite a few of other very good brands, I'm sure. The "Bang for the Buck" in my book is the KingKutter tiller. Whatever you purchase, get one wide enough to cover the tire tracks. I do quite a bit of custom tilling each year and I get a lot of complaints on the tire prints I have to leave behind with my 5' tiller and no it's not a KK. I just wish, I had a 6' gear drive KK tiller. Check out replacement tine prices as well as availability and add that to the purchase equation. bjr

I run a 5 foot kig kutter off my b2630 (same as b26) with no problem at all. Perfectly matched and I'm very happy with it.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I was kinda worried about having to offset... I think the 5' would cover my tracks nicely

Check out the Phoenix from Everything Attachments, it's a superb tiller. Ken Sweet also sells it. You can watch Ted's video from Everything Attachments and learn a lot.
Check the threads I have one and posted several pics.

I have a Mahindra 3016HST (21 pto hp) and a RTA1566 Land Pride tiller (66" forward rotation). Tractor runs it fine and I am very happy with tiller performance.

I tilled a 35' x 60' garden from sod and it chewed it right up. No raking, gotta love it.

Thanks guys! I really do appreciate this site, people taking the time to answer random faceless people's questions and do so politely and honestly is getting rare these days. I may shoot Mr. Sweet a note inquiring about those Phoenix units...
