will a tractor supply 48" tiller be a problem on a bx if it isnt the model designed for subcompact?

Shouldn't be. I run a 50" heavy duty Landpride on mine with no problems at all.

They both worked on my bx25 but are taller an 3pt hitch pins are higher then the subcompact models so it won't lift up as high for clearance. A real pain loading the machine onto a trailer with steep ramps. An also coming off or going up a steep hill Tiller always bottoms out on the ground. I had to switch to the sub compact country line 48" instead of the regular model cause of ground clearance.
