I have the 42'' hydraulic tiller for my X-575. The tiller works great but im wondering why the tines are almost worn out with only 25 hours on the tiller. do they make a harder tine for this tiller or do I have to stick with the tines that it came with. Im tilling clay with few rocks ..

You should be able to put on any tine on that fits.
On my Farmking tiller I have a mixture of land pride and farmking tines. Some have a 90 degree curve while others are more rounded and may not be at 90 degrees.
Dealers or farm suppliers should have a book listing all the dimensions of the different tines available. Measure up your tines and order some that fit. They may not be cheap.

Might check with Deere on warranty.
Sometimes things don't get heat treated they way they are supposed too.

I am using a 60" Gearmore tiller. I had to replace the tines after two years of use. I talked to Gearmore about getting replacements. The person at Gearmore (theey are in California) said that one customer, a city that uses their tiller to help clean up the beach, replace their tines every week. the lifetime really depends on the soil/dirt. the 90 degree tines are typically called "L" tines and the curved tines are called "C" tines. I replaces my C tines with L tines. The L tines would stall the tractor where the C tines had no problem. There is more tine in the dirt with the L tines. The cost is about $5.00 to $6.00 per tine. My tiller has 40 tines. Use gloves when you remove the old tines, save cutting up your hands

they make aftermarket tines if you do a search you might find it here on tbn i forget the website had many models. I'd suspect there would be a problem in the tiller but if you did till hard stuff 25 hrs is alot of wear.. that's probaly 2-3 yrs of avg tilling.
