Since my tiller broke it's shaft right at the center bearing, I've been getting along with a moldboard plow ($100), cultivator ($75) and disk ($300). Uses more diesel fuel, but I get more seat time. This clay and sandstone gets rock hard about 3 days after a good rain, but this year we haven't had that many between frog stranglers.
