Tilt Steering lock

Back to the well of Knowledge for some more info.

My New to Me TC34DA has a slight issue with the the tilt steering it will not lock in position. What is the usual part that breaks here, and does anyone have an exploded diagram of the locking mechanism?

Lots of info on TBN. On the NH owning/operating page go back to page 3 and click on TC29D tilt. Read that over and then click on the links at the bottom of the page. Maybe you can save the tilt piston or get the cheap replacement off of Amazon. Good luck.

New Hydro Cylinder fixed the tilt lock issue. Cheap replacement??? LOL.

I had the same problem with my TC33D and my TC55D.
Kroil oil fix the 33, and a new cylinder fixed the 55.
