Since he is a framer, and I'm assuming he did a good job on the framing because you where nice to him and sent him the pictures, I don't see any problem in him being proud of the house he worked on. It would be the same as the electrician posting a picture of the finished house and bragging on how nice it turned out, or any of the other trades. Unless he is claiming to have built the entire house himself, his comments don't seem out of line to me.
Having said that, I came across a picture on a landscapers Facebook page of a gazebo that I built and he said that it was one of their projects and they could build one just like it for you. I replied to his comments with something like, thank you for posting a picture of the gazebo I built for "the name of the wedding venue" and how I appreciated him sharing it with others. Please feel free to contact me if anybody wants to talk about having be build one for them too. What's really funny is he wasn't even the landscaper on the original job, he was used for staging pictures for models in creating their brochure.
