Went to bed too early, got up too early. Feel like crap.
Who's idea was this? This time change suks.
Agreed. Just wait till spring when you have to give up that precious hour!

CA Voters authorized the Legislature to go to standard or daylight saving time year-round, but nearly six years later no law is on the books.

I vote for standard time. That way, we won't be off from those who don't change times. Crazy enough that there are places in the US that don't go to daylight savings time. It's the same amount of daylight! They are just shifting it around. Instead, adjust your working hours around the seasons.

AZ and Hawaii get it. No change there

If you want to experience time change chaos in Arizona, try driving between Phoenix and Page during the summer. The time changes 5 times during the drive. The state of Arizona doesn't recognize DST, but the Navajo Nation does. The town of Page, that does not recognize DST, is almost completely surrounded by the Navajo reservation. The time changes every time you cross the town line or go in and out of the Navajo reservation. It's just nuts!

Yes, but I lived in AZ many decades. It gets dark too soon after dinner in the summer. I enjoy my long summer daylight hours outdoors during DST.

The Navajo Nation is located in three states, 2 of which have DST. I can see why they chose DST.

Affecting a law for universal time has no political benefits. It's not an action that will keep them in office. And they sure don't seem to be the least bit concerned about the people they are supposed to serve.

Eat dinner earlier.

gsganzer - by doing something "they" are almost assured to irritate a fraction of their contingent base. Better to just go with the flow and make promises for your next term in office.

So.... Why don't they just move the clock 30 minutes, splitting the difference, and leave it there year-round?
I prefer DST year around but I could live with solution. It certainly beats what we are doing now.

I never really cared much either way, but this year I'm still having a hard time adjusting my internal clock.
