Re: Time For Another \"Where Are They Now?\"

Glad to hear that you are back, but am saddened to hear of your health problems. From the sound of it, I think that you should start taking it a little easier and not think about the extra tools, but about the extra years that you want on this earth, and start considering alternatives to you doing all the work. I know that this is a hard decision to make, but in the end, it can be done differantly.... you watching others to make sure that they are doing it up to your standards, but without your lifting the hammer. Life is too precious to make it short when you have the ability to prolong it by changing life styles. Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing...

Re: Time For Another \"Where Are They Now?\"

My apologies for not emailing you like I said I would, but work is keeping me way too busy. I just got home from another 14 hour day, plus an hour drive each way.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent misfortunes /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, but glad that you're still with us /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.

Junkman is right (did I just say that? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif). Even though you won't be able to do as much of the work yourself, building the house and barn or having someone else build them is still a doable idea, and it will also be great to live next door to your daughter too.

I'll email you when I get a chance. Right now, I hear my bed calling my name! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Re: Time For Another \"Where Are They Now?\"

Double doggone darn it Don, I didn't want to hear this.

I guess it's time for you to start considering graduating from being a hunting dog to becoming a good pointer. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I know there has to be a fine young man who lives somewhere near you that would love to build your home and barn per your instructions.

What an opportunity! He gets to learn and you get to teach. And you get your house built your way to boot.

Do take care of yourself.

Another one that has not been around for a while is Spencer. He made a trip up to my area last May, made a few posts after that and now is not around any more. His last post was the end of May. I wrote him a message yesterday but he has not replied.

Re: Time For Another \"Where Are They Now?\"

Don,

Glad to hear the answer to the question is Back home!

Next time I am in Bellevue I will rub the pavement a little on your behalf for good luck... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

(we did not know it at the time, but Don and I were neighbors when we were young...Our high schools were rivals, and so on...had I lived on across the street I would have gone to his HS... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Would have been a few years behind him though, and not classmates... )

Re: Time For Another \"Where Are They Now?\"

Dadgummit, Don! Just when you were getting up to speed...

I had to "re-adjust" my habits over the last year, but it's been worth it for me. I don't know if I could cut back to one diet soda per day, but I dropped 65 lb and I feel like a new person. I hope your adjustments go as smoothly as mine did. We want you around to cuss and discuss for a long time. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Think it bad enough? The next part will really get you. I read the book on the defibrillator, and I can't be near an arc welder. My Lincoln 175 Tig welder may be on the market.

I'm glad you have overcome your health issues. We need to keep you around for a little while at least. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Always remember as you make your life adjustments that your health is the most precious thing you have and your wellbeing means so much to a lot of people.
