Time to buy now which one CK30/3054 ?

Hi All, great site so glad I found it.

Wow you have lots of great info here. I have been on the site everyday this week for 3-4 hours. Looking at reviews, pics, problems, and lots of good info.

Looks like I found my new tractor a Kioti, now I have to choose.

I have an 8N I'm going to replace, might be this weekend if everything works out.

I have seen a 3054 very nice machine, I have not seen a CK30 yet but will see one this weekend.

Pricing on the tractors varies a bunch, CK30 starting at 15500-19100 with a FEL. 3054 from 14700-17700 also with a FEL. Both gear tractors. I also priced BH's 2375 model from 6000-6700. The big problem the good prices are not at the same dealer, and usally are a package deal with the tractor.

Best deal so far LK3054 w/fel 14700, CK30 w/fel 15500 both with Kioti FEL and R4 tires. I would sure like a BH too, might wait and get one later.

Big question which one? Is the 30 just a bit better, 3054 best bang for your buck? I have read the reviews I guess it might just be what looks good, or works best.

Looking for any info that might be out there, just trying to make the right decision. Either one will make a great tractor.

I have 14 acres, 7+ to bush hog and the rest is woods I'm trying to clear out. The BH would be nice to help out. My old 8N just is not enough anymore. Time to move up.

Welcome to the pack.

The LK and CK are both good tractors but the differences are quite significant. The CK is the more modern and ergonometrically designed machine with quite a few extra features. I'll let the guys who own one or the other enumerate the differences but you can also check out both machines on the Kioti website The Official Website of Kioti Tractor if you have not yet discovered that.

OK, I'm one of the CK30 guys. I suspect you may have seen a pic or two of mine during your TBN research. I bought mine in Apr 2005, but didn't get to seriously use it until end of Oct. Now, I've about 270 hrs and often remark to my wife what a great decision it was to get it. She agrees. I brushhog 21 acres, although there are still some areas I haven't gotten to yet. I've dug holes over 5 ft deep with my PHD. Moved tons of rock from 3/4 base to 2 1/2 minus. Done some trenching with BH, but mostly dug a 20'X20' hole ranging in depth from 5-8 ft. I've worked portions of my 1300' drive with both my box blade and my land rake. My CK30 has been a real work horse in building the house from moving and lifting beams with the pallet forks to lifting roof panels with my extended boompole. I couldn't be happier with the performance of this machine. I did initially consider the LK, but the CK30 was just coming out and I kinda switched for the newer, besides needing the HST so wife could operate it.

Best would be if you could see them side by side. A demo at home of both is even better. If you can swing it get the bh now.

If you decide to get a backhoe, and have a choice, consider either a Woods or a Rhino over the Kioti 2375. Have you read about the problems with the 2375? Not sure if Kioti has fixed these yet. I have the Rhino 75, and have worked it hard. It's been great. You should be able to get into a CK30 TLB for around $20K.

I have not heard of any problems with the Kioti BH. I have the 2365 and have worked the snot out of it digging up boulders and large stumps. What "problems" have others seen? I perfer to keep my tractor all Kioti. I wonder if using BH's or FEL's from different manufacturers voids your warranty at all. Kind of like using non-oem parts on your car then trying to get warranty work done at a dealer.

There is no problem using attachements from other manufacturers.

I also have a KB2365 and am very happy with it. I think I recall some issues reported with damage to the lateral stabilizers on the KB2375 but I'm not so sure that was not due to operator error.

Others have pointed out that the new Woods X series loaders are very nice but choosing one should be due to preference not fear of the Kioti BH's reliability.

Hello Odie, welcome to TBN. I cant comment on the 3054 but will tell you the ck30 is an excellent machine. The Ck30 shuttle is a brute.. I have the ck30hst and would recomend it to anyone.. Good luck in your search..

Thank you for the welcome. I did not know that buying a tractor could make your head hurt. Some eye strain to, but it should be all worth it.

I'm going to southern IL this saturday, I will be able to look at both tractors. Maybe if I see them side by side it will be easier. Seeing what everyone does with there CK20's I wonder if the CK30/LK3054 will be too much tractor.

Only kidding, with the hogging I have to do I belive I will need the 30hp. I have looked around the sight at all types of tractors but keep going back to the Kioti. The price is much better than the "big names" and from what I can tell much more tractor too.

I really like the shuttle shift, I got to see and test drive a DK35. I guess the CK30 will be very close to it. It was a very nice tractor.

Question about BH's, it seemed like only the TLB tractors were having problems with the BH, is that a true statement. Do the TLB package tractors use the 2375? I read about an upgrade to the pump and controls, is that for all models? The dealer I talked to said they dont order any TLB's because of the problems, they just add the BH.

I guess its back to looking around.

Hello Odie, My friend has the kioti shuttle ck30 and the kioti backhoe, hes very pleased with both. That said i have the Woods 80X backhoe and its a very nice backhoe indeed.. The thumb on the hoe can really come in handy. I use mine to pick up and hold logs when cutting firewood, no more stuck chainsaws.. Have fun and go test them all..
