I think I recall some issues reported with damage to the lateral stabilizers on the KB2375 but I'm not so sure that was not due to operator error.

I'm sorry, But I have to disagree.
I saw the pictures of the Kioti backhoe failures a while back and they were NOT operator error.
Personally I would lean towards a Rhino or Woods backhoe.
My opinion..

Remind us what those failures were. I don't recall anything other than bent stabilizers and that could certainly be due to an operator using them to anchor the BH which is not what they are designed to do.

I'm sure if you did a search on this forum, you could find the postings and pictures. The steal was failing at the pivot points. The extent to which this is a widespread problem, I cannot say. But, my dealer steered me to the Rhino, and has lately been pushing the Woods. Similar pricing, same warranty coverage, why take the chance?

That is what I recalled too but assumed that was more of an operator error issue. I recall now there was debate about how much lateral force the stabilizers should be expected to take. Some people were lifting the rear wheels off the ground which meant the stabilizers were the only thing preventing the digging from dragging the tractor into the hole. I thought that was operator error myself as no engineer would build lateral stabilizers with the type of pivot joint these things have with the idea that it was to support in two different planes (sideways and backwards). Some of the big commercial backhoes may have stabilizers sized to tolerate such abuse but it still seemed to me to be an operator error to fail to anchor the tractor with rear wheels and FEL before digging.

The failures were not in the outriggers. They were in the main and/or dipper arm pivot points, I believe. The failures did not look like operator error to me: really new looking hoes with badly busted pivots. They were obviously sudden and catastrophic. Operator errors would have been more of the long term fatique type in those areas. I don't see how an operator could have done that, unless the hydraulics are oversized for the hoe. In which case, does it constitute an operator error?

Of course, these failures may have been somewhat isolated. Most that have that hoe, report only good things. But, that Woods with the thumb sure sounds sweet, and I haven't seen any reports of problems with either the Woods or the Rhino. I know I've worked the heck out of my Rhino.

We are remembering different events/posts. What I recalled was a problem with the stabilzers. I agree what you are describing would not likely be operator error.

Thanks for all the help. Well I spent about 4 hours at Little Tractor looking, test driving, compairing, and asking a bunch of questions. I tested the LK3045, CK30 both gear and HST. I dug, moved, scraped, leveled, dirt and gravel. All the tractors worked great.

I was impressed witht the fit and finish of all of them. The CK30 has a more open cockpit and is definetly more user friendly. I'm 6' 4" 230lbs and have big feet, I did not feel cramped at all. It is easier to get on and off the CK30 with out getting hung up.

So after all my looking and questions I decided to get a CK30. Now I had to choose a gear or HST. The difference in price was 1000 dollars, a bit more money but after driving the HST I felt it was worth it. It was so easy to drive and operate the FEL. After working the tractor for 20 minutes I felt like I had been doing it for years. Wow what a difference from my 8N, I have been using it for the past 12 years trying to keep up with my 14 A's.

I read soooooo much about all the "problems" with the FEL and BH, also read about Kioti fixing the problems with the DK axles, if the company fixed that problem I think they will fix any other problems. I know it takes time to work that kind of stuff out. I plan to use my CK30 to keep up with my mowing, fix my ditches, landscape around the house and clear out my woods.

Well I did it, this week I'll go back and pick up my CK30 HST, FEL(KL130), BH(2365), R4's, new PHD, and HD 20' trailer. Yes Christmas in October!!! I have spent my Christmas presents for the next 10 years. I will also pick up a tooth bar, after all my reading I belive it will make a difference.

I spent about a month looking at used, and new tractors. Tractors from all companies, big name, little name, every color even grey ones, most seem like good tractors. I looked at all the features, prices, history, reviews, threads on the TBN, warranties, and hands on testing. After all that I belive I picked the best tractor for my needs. I look foward to posting more about the tractor later.

I have a bunch to do, cant wait to get started.
