Going to need to move the 3038e & realized the tires on the aluma car hauler were overdue for replacement. It's been sitting a few years since I've taken to leaving the 3038e at the acreage & the tires are 13-14 years old now.

Pulled it down on the drive & propped it up on the rear legs & jack to pull the wheels.

Dropped them off at the tire place, tires (4+spare) should get delivered/installed tomorrow & I'll pick them up to re-install.

(the 3038e will be going into the shop to get some rear remotes for a hydraulic offset flail)

Good idea, mine only had a couple of thousand miles on them but were the same age and starting to crack a little.

Replaced tires this year that were on trailer for 13 yrs. Way too long, had blowout with tractor and bushhog loaded on trailer. was afraid the other tire was going to blow on that side due to weight change but got lucky. Unloaded tractor and put a spare on. Next day took trailer and had 4 new 8 ply tires put on . Next time pulling tires around 7-8 years of service.

Lol. My heavy hauler trailer (14,000lb) I bought new I think in 1999 is still on the original Goodyear tires it came with. But then it has always been stored inside and has very few miles on it - tires still look like new. I do check them carefully before using the trailer for cracking, checking, any sign of weathering but they still look great.

(y)

I just replaced all 4 on our car hauler this spring. Original tires from 2002. Probably less than 5K on them. Parked out of sunlight all the time, but still, started showing some cracking. Not worth the potential problems.
