I did exactly that earlier this year with my 8N. Even though my electric trench had already been filled in, it spent all of last winter open and full of water. The builder filled the dirt right over the water, creating a quicksand situation. It LOOKED fine until I drove over it-- buried the 8N up to the rear axle! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Had someone with a backhoe pull me out. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

i've done that a couple times, luckly it was with our 580 hoe. just stop. put down the stabilizers, and lift yourself out with the hoe.... ok so i'm gettin spoiled /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Just think i sent the backhoe back just one week ago.

150ft of chain and a lot of come alonging, /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif i know only funny when it happes to someone else, but most of us have been there. hope no dammage!

That is some really black looking dirt, almost looks like the house is setting on a coal pile. I guess your road is oiled making it look even darker.

Can you get any grass to grow on the side of the hill by your house this time of year? Looks like some erosion getting a start there.

very close to coal, black slate. the best stuff to make a driveway out of, it packs like concrete. I have had the dump trucks and concrete trucks driving over it for a year now and no ruts nothing. To bad the yard isn't that solid huh?
