Hey guys, just getting ready for the 800 hrs valve adjustment on my L4740 Kubota and I can't seem to find the timing window. Unless it is hidden behind the right side loader mount which would just about be the worst place to put it.

workshop manual isn't really clear about its location other than on the clutch housing.

I hope I can get away with only removing the muffler for access but the fuel tank seems awfully close. I just filled the tank up so If it needs to come off I will have to postpone the job.

just scrolled through the engine section of the service manual and it really does look like they put it behind the loader mount on the right side. it is not identified in the picture I saw it in but it looks similar.

anyone done this before and knows if I can get the valve cover off without removing the fuel tank.

Yes, behind the right loader mount.

I usually run (adjust) the valves with the engine running. Dropping the loader arms will make things a lot easier.

Thanks for the reply. Didn't think to look at the parts catalog.
