Thats exactly right! When you have a load in the bucket, you should always have your hand on the loader joystick. Really heavy loads especially while on slopes up, down, and sideways not only demand it, but you need to always remember to carry it as low as possible. I will sometimes go to float, but more often power down. With a heavy load, the loader will drop fast whether in float or power down. One advantage to power down versus float is once it is down, it stays down whereas float allows the loader mechanism to go where forces tell it to.(float).
