I am new owner of a Kubota B7001D 4x4 ( with front loader and rear 3 point hitch) and have bought a tipping trailer for muck. The trailer and tractor both have a quick fit hydraulic connector, however I am not sure how to divert the hydraulic power from 3 point hitch or loader to the trailer.
I have been told to raise the 3 point hitch to max height at which point the hydraulic fluid will be directed to the trailer ram... is this correct as so far it has not worked... am I missing something...
thanks

This is the current set up..

Can you push in on the middle piece of both quick connects?
What happens if you remove the quick connect and drop the end of the hose in a bucket (do this with the 3 point all the way down)?
I would suspect that there is a problem with one of the quick connects.

I had wondered if it was the connectors... If I drop it into a bucket with the three point down presumably the fluid will pour out . or will this only happen if it is all the way up... ?

It shouldn't dump out any fluid until you move the lever to lift the 3 point.

Need more info.

Where did you plug in the hose for the hyd fluid?

What valve is controlling the fluid to the tipping trailer.

Is the cyl a SA or DA cyl?

Looks like it's in the relief of the 3-point.

I am not sure you can obtain the relief fluid as it goes directly to tank.

That model is setup so that you can tie a SA cylinder in parallel with the 3 point ram, then when you raise the 3 point, it can push fluid into the external ram at the same time.
See: http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=501 for some discussion on the subject (sadly without working pictures)

Problem sorted , I temporarily disconnected the feed back lever from the control arm which meant I could have the control arm on maximum resulting in the fluid being diverted to the tipping trailer... thanks for the advice
