Can anyone tell me exactly how many gallons of liquid the 20" rear tires on a 3038h will hold. I only need to get protection down to about 20 degrees where I'm located so not a lot of antifreeze will need to be added. Thanks.
Due to the rather large mass of liquid it is the average day/nite temperature that determines whether a tire will freeze at all ... or enuf to matter. If your lo -- nite time temp is 20°F it is not likely you will ever freeze plain water enuf to matter.Can anyone tell me exactly how many gallons of liquid the 20" rear tires on a 3038h will hold. yes.. there are tire ballast charts out there. that's why i asked the OP what his tire size was so i coul give him fill volume at 75% he chose not to post tire size however.
Search in Google or Bing for ballast tire chart brings up lots of results. Hydro-Flation Table for AG Tires - Rim Guard - Liquid Tire Ballast That chart suggests 38 gallons per tire. Hardly seems worth it to put in 40 pounds of ballast per tire.
I thought post 9 said he pumped in 4 gallons or about 10% of what it could hold.
Soundguy;
Can you post a link to the tire ballast charts? This is good general information for all of us.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah you are right Jim, missed his response. Don't understand 4 gallons either?
