Tire Chains Not Just for Snow/Ice?

I'm just curious if there are any TBN'ers who keep tire chains on year-round. Or is it the consensus that once the weather clears, the chains come off? It would seem that chains could be beneficial in mud, grass, woods, etc.

So, do any of you keep your tire chains on all year?

I Allways used chains year round when I had 2w drive. Now with 4 wd I only use them in the snow season.

My previous tractor was also 2WD plus much smaller and lighter. My property is sloped with some rough terrain--so I had rear chains on the tractor from the day I bought it until the day I sold it. Still got stuck a few times, but much less than I would have without the chains. Regards, Mike

I have an old 66 Bolens That I ran chains on for about 40 years never taking them off .

Mine stay on my r4's all winter and into mud season,, then the turfs go on for the summer,

When I had B7100HST chain were left on for 14 1/2 years..save me many time going thru woods fields etc.,far as the lawn took wide turns.
