Tire Chains

You can try labonville.com. They have norse ice chains and log skidder type chains that are kind of like a chain net that really covers the tire. Great chains but they go for around $1000. I have the duogrips also on R1's and while the ride is not as smooth as without the chains I don't think it's too bad.

Labonville! That's where I got my Norse chains. I've been spacing on the name for months; thanks for the reminder. Granted it was a couple of years ago, but mine cost me $550.

Ok Guys,
I called tirechains.com, and they are going to make me a set of V-bar Ladder style chains with 2 link spacing for around $239. I will let you know how i like them and post some pictures when i get them. I just cold not spend the $800 for a set of Pewag's

Any chance one of our moderators or administrators could edit the post with the mile ling link in this thread so that all of us Netscape users don't have to scroll left and right across 5 screens to read this thread? (Yeah, I know, switch to MS Internet Explorer and it will break the link into multiple lines... )

Done. BTW, while IE breaks it into multiple lines, I still had to scroll. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

What about letting a little air out of the tires?

Ok,
I have installed the chains. I know it's early, but I was bored, and I wanted to make sure they fit ok before snow flys.
I went with the ladder type and every other link. I took them for a test drive, and they are much better then the Duro-Grip style. Very smooth.
