Good day,
Well Easter weekend I was able to really put my new (used) NH 1215 to work down at the hunting camp. Graded our 1/4 mile drive with a landscape rake. Sure did a nice job. Second did some brush hogging for the 1st time in my life. Takes a little getting used to but once I got used to all the noise and vibration it was easy. Sure was impressed with my little 17 HP 4x4 hydro FEL tractor until it came time to head to a few remote food plots. Several of my plots are located on hill tops and the paths leading to them are worn smooth from ATV traffic. The 1215 came with turfs which I would like to keep for use around the home base. It was a wet raining weekend here in Ohio and all I could due was spin my tires and load them up with slick clay like mud. The ground is hard but the surface is very slick. Sunday the hill dried out enough to go up with ease but once I started to work it started to rain again so I got down really quick.
I was wondering if rear chains would make that much of a diffence on the hills? I was a little reluctant to use chains in fear they would fall off while brush hogging and get caught in the brush hogg.
Thanks for the input
