I'm getting ready for the winter snows with my new TC35D and Puma 74 snowblower. What is the forums opinion about the need for chains? I have R-4 tires and my 1/4 mile drive has a slight slope over 1/3 of its length. Should I have a set of chains for the rear for the "ultimate snow removal combo"

I have an 800' driveway with 1 fairly steep hill, I've never had the need to use chains. I have an L3710, R4's and a 78" blower. Occassionaly I blow out a farm lane behind the house over 3000' and very steep - never had a traction problem, but use the diff lock on the steep parts just in case....
