All,
I just finished ordering tire chains for my JD 4100. I worked with the people at tirechains.com and found them very helpful and cordial. It was a pleasure to work with them. They know their business and do not try to oversell you. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I had some confusion about exactly which chains I needed for my R4's and if I needed any kind of binders to keep the chains tight on the tires. For those of you with JD 4100's with R4 tires, here's what you need.
I got the Duo-grips for the rear tires and 2-link spacing for the front. That is what they recommended. The total for both sets of chains, binders/adjusters for the front and back, and shipping and handling will be $285.43. Additionally, I should have the mechandise tommorrow. Now, that's service. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
To put that in perspective, I stopped at a local chain supplier last week and was quoted ~$290 for Duo-grips for just the REAR tires. And, that did not include tax!!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif
If you need chains, I would highly recommend this company.
