Back in the late 1960s, I had a friend who worked for a trucking outfit that did their own maintenance. The owner had a reputation for being real stingy when it came to tools and equipment. So, one day I stopped by the shop and there for all to see was a brand new, bright green tire cage. Surprised, I asked my buddy about it and he pointed at a split rim stuck in a header over the main door. The fellow who'd been filling the tire had a badly broken arm but was lucky to be alive. Sorry about your friend.
